If you’re looking for free ways to make extra money online, you’ve probably heard of TimeBucks.
But are TimeBucks legit and really a great way to earn extra cash, or are they just a time-wasting scam?
I have tested the platform extensively and have been a member for many years.
Let me tell you right away, this is a legit platform and I’ve been paid for it multiple times myself (I’ll show proof of payment below) so I know it’s safe and it’s really worth it. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the right choice for you.
This TimeBucks review will show you all the details and show exactly what it has to offer, I will share my experience with the site and show you some Timebucks tips to get the most out of the site should you decide to join.
After reading this review, you can find out if it’s worth joining, or if you’d be better off spending your time on another site.
What kind of website is TimeBucks?
TimeBucks is an online rewards site that allows you to earn money in a variety of ways. The site is also known as a pay to play (GPT) site.
Like all legitimate GPT sites, this site is completely free to sign up and use.
Owned by Australian Clearing Pty Ltd, the site is still available worldwide, but we will discuss more about its availability later.
Many of the offers offered by the site are similar to other paid survey sites and online reward portals, but there are some features that are unique and not seen on other sites. Whether this is a great opportunity or a distraction depends on what you are looking for.
What’s important to know is that TimeBucks is constantly growing and adding new ways to make money. If a method is deemed unsuccessful, it may be removed. When I first joined, for example, there was a challenge to grow a beard and earn money from selfies.
That method is no longer available, but other methods have been introduced in its place. Therefore, please be advised that while I have tried to be up to date, there may be more options than you will find in this review.
But let’s take a look at what opportunities the site offers one by one to see if it’s worth it for you.
Option 1 – Paid Surveys.
TimeBucks offers several paid surveys. When you sign up, you can participate in surveys from various providers and receive rewards in your TimeBucks account.
Most surveys are offered through survey routers and offer walls. The great thing about this is that you can find many surveys in most countries. The downside is that you need some patience to find eligible surveys.
But the survey options are actually pretty good on TimeBucks.
Above you can see, for example, that the reward for participating in a survey through Your Survey is $0.875. These surveys are offered on many GPT sites, but this is actually one of the highest rewards. Overall, surveys are one of the best ways to earn money with Timebucks and is definitely a section to consider when you want to join. You will find a wide variety of surveys. However, how many surveys there are depends on the country you live in, although there are surveys for most countries. However, if there are not many surveys available, there are other ways to earn money with TimeBucks.
Option 2 – Watch videos:
TimeBucks offers a few different ways to win by watching videos in the video section. One of them is the same as many other GPT sites, where you have to watch three videos + ads on a specific topic. And there are also smaller separate videos, where you are rewarded for watching a certain number of seconds.
You can find these videos by going to the “Content” tab in the “Profits” section, scroll down and find the “Videos” tab.
On the one hand, this is an easy way to make a little extra money. However, the rewards for this option are very low, so it’s not really an option that can be used to generate revenue, but it’s nice to be able to earn a little money if it’s a video you want to watch.
Another thing I like about TimeBucks is that the requirements and needs for each video are very clear. This allows me to quickly see if the video is worth my time.
In addition to these video options, you can also earn money by watching videos on YouTube. You can find this option by going to the “Participate” tab.
They will direct you to sign up for a third party site where you can earn by watching random YouTube videos.
It takes a few minutes to set it up, but there is a guide that explains how it works and once you set it up, you can earn more for each video you watch compared to other ways to earn income from watching videos.
At the time of updating this review, they were offering $0.01 per video you watch, but this can vary from country to country and over time.
Option 3 – Offerwall.
There is an offerwall section where you can access various offers. For example, you can be rewarded for downloading apps, subscribing to websites, free product trials, etc.
The image above just shows a few of the offerwalls you can find as Timebucks gives access to around 12 walls last time I counted, and each of them gives access to many offers.
Some of these offers have really good rewards. Most of them are also offered through other survey sites like PrizeRebel or ySense, so if you, in general, prefer using one of these sites, you can probably find the offers there as well.
Option 4 – Content options:
The content tab inside Timebucks gives access to several different ways to earn.
In fact, at the time of updating this review, you can find 8 different ways to earn just in this section (I could not fit all of them in the image below)
You can, for example, earn by clicking small ads and visiting a website for a certain number of seconds. It can also be to like TimeBucks Facebook page and more.
You can watch slideshows where you have to watch 10 pages of a slideshow to get paid. This can be quite entertaining as there are some great slideshows, for example, about come crazy puppy pictures, best MMA fights, shocking facts about celebrities, worst tattoos ever, etc.
In this section, you can also find the following earning opportunities:
1- Engaged hits (you can earn by installing a software that will play videos automatically)
2- Push click (get paid to click on ads delivered as push notifications in your browser)
3- Get paid to search (earn up to $0.01 per online search depending on the country you live in)
4- Get paid to watch YouTube videos
5- Watch News slideshows.
The great thing about the content section is that no matter what country you live in, you will always find a way to make money here.
Some of the options in this section will not make you a lot of money, but many of us probably often watch slideshows, News, etc., like this anyway, and the tasks are, in general, easy and fast to do.
Option 5 – Micro-tasks
Timebucks has a section simply called “Tasks”.
Here you can get paid to do different types of tasks like downloading apps, watching YouTube videos, visiting certain websites, following people on social media, etc.
The tasks usually do not take, but not all of them give good value for your time.
These tasks are created by other Timebucks members, as not everyone offers a fair pay for your time. So just choose these tasks wisely.
You can always just decide which tasks you want to do, and you can see the requirements and pay before you start. And if you choose wisely, it can be an easy way to earn a bit extra.
Option 6 – Get cash back when shopping online
Personally, I think it is great when GPT sites have a cashback option. This means you can get cash back if you shop online in certain shops they have partnered with.
TimeBucks also has this option, so it can be a great way to earn/save some money if you shop online anyway.
You can use this option if you ever shop through Ali Express.
TimeBucks does not have as many options as the top cashback sites, but it does have some good options if you ever shop through Ali Express.
So if you ever do that, it is a good idea to check out this section.
Option 7 – Invite people to join:
You can invite other people to join TimeBucks and get paid a commission for this.
You will get paid in 5 levels. That means that you will also get commissions for the people that your referred people refer. Not a high commission, but a little is also nice.
Inviting a lot of people and eventually inviting a lot of people can build up and be a great way to make money. Since it has 5 tiers, it has a very good referral program compared to many other similar sites.
So if you’ve joined yourself and enjoy using it, it’s a good idea to invite others to join as well. Whether they join through your link or not, they earn the same because commissions are paid out of TimeBucks pocket.
Option 8 – Weekly Timebucks Sweepstakes
Timebucks runs a weekly sweepstakes that you just need to be active on the site to enter.
If you’re lucky enough to win a prize here, it can really boost your earnings, and it’s one of the best sweepstakes options I’ve seen on the Get Paid To site.
Every day you log into Timebucks you get 100 entries. You’ll earn 1 entry for every $0.001 you earn for each task you complete, and 200 entries for each participant you invite.
Plus, there’s an easy way to passively earn tons of extra entries by downloading the Timebucks Sweepstakes software.
Running the software will give you 100 free draws every 10 minutes without completing any tasks. Note, however, that it’s currently only available for Windows PCs.

The software uses your spare processing power to mine cryptocurrencies, and Timebucks rewards you with sweepstakes entries.
Option 9 – Advertising:
You can advertise with TimeBucks. The options you have here vary, but you can promote YouTube videos and more.
So, if you have a YouTube video and want to get more views, you can promote it here. You choose how many times you want to watch it, which countries you’re from, how old you are, and more, then pay. Other members then pay to watch your video.
Personally, I don’t use this method to promote my videos because it also has some risks. However, if you know what you’re doing and understand the risks, this can be an easy way to promote your video to a specific audience.
Option 10 – Daily Matches:
Every day, the top 5 Timebucks earners get an extra bonus. First place gets $20 to $1, fifth place.
It’s not hard to make enough money to be on top, so it’s a great way to get some really nice perks.
How do you get paid?
As you can see, TimeBucks offers quite a few opportunities to earn some money. Every time you complete a task on the platform, you get rewarded in dollars. But once you’ve earned money, how can you spend it or receive it?
TimeBucks currently offers several different payment methods: Bitcoin, Litecoin, PayPal, Payeer, AirTM, bank transfers, Virtual Visa, and Skrill.
PayPal has not been a payment option for a while, but it has recently been added again as a payment option. At the same time, Timebucks added a virtual Visa card, so it now offers two more great payment options for those who prefer to receive payments in cash. Unusually for a GPT site, you can also pay by bank transfer (via TransferWise).
Overall, Timebucks offers some great payment methods, in my opinion.
You get paid as soon as you earn $10, which is a great low pay standard. The nice thing is that you can request a payout pretty quickly, rather than waiting until you’ve earned more like other survey sites.
You will receive payouts automatically when you reach the payout threshold; Timebucks makes these payouts once a week. However, if you want to wait for more money to accumulate, you can delay the payout until you manually request a withdrawal.
So some pretty good and flexible payout options and conditions TimeBucks has.
I have personally received payments from them on several occasions and they have all worked well, and in my experience, it is definitely a legitimate and safe site from which to receive payments without any problems. How much money can you make?
How much you earn depends on several factors. First, of course, it depends on how much time you’re willing to spend on TimeBucks and how many opportunities you’re willing to take advantage of. It also depends on what part of the world you live in.
Some countries will have more surveys and wall offers than others. However, TimeBucks offers many ways to make money, many of which are independent of where you live, so anyone can make money.
However, if you live in a country where there are regular surveys and wall offers, you will have an easier time earning. Wherever you live, you can invite others to join, which can be a great way to earn extra income.
Another way to increase your income is to become a premium member of Timebucks. Whether it’s worth it to become a premium member of Timebucks depends on how much you already earn at Timebucks.com.
Premium membership costs $4.95 per week and allows you to earn 25% more for every survey, offer and task you complete (excluding referral income and bonuses).
In other words, it’s a pretty big increase, but it also costs money. So it’s not going to be a good investment for everyone.
If you’re already earning more than $20 a week on Timebucks, becoming a premium member is probably a good idea. However, if you earn less than that amount, then you shouldn’t purchase a premium.
But keep in mind that, as with any survey site or GPT, you shouldn’t expect to be able to make a living no matter what. You can earn extra income, but if you expect to get rich, you will be disappointed.
Can you use Timebucks on mobile?
Being able to use GPT sites from your cell phone is a great advantage, especially since sites like Timebucks offer many simple tasks that you can do on your own time.
You can download and use the Timebucks app. However, it’s called Timebucks Surveys and is quite different from many other GPT apps.
You cannot find all the Timebucks earning methods but only a specific types of surveys. And once you have downloaded the app, you need to connect it to your Timebucks account.
You do this by going to your profile settings inside your Timebucks account and here you can find something called a Timebucks Connect code. You need it when logging in to the app.
You can currently only download the app for Android devices.
But if you want to use Timebucks from other devices or if you want access to all the earning options from mobile, you can also just open Timebucks through your browser on any device and it is optimized for mobile.
Some tasks are only possible to do on mobile. So it is definitely an advantage to also check out the options Timebucks offers on mobile.
Who can join?
You can join TimeBucks no matter where you live. What opportunities are available depends on the country in which you live.
However, compared to other sites, many opportunities are available here, even if you live in a country where polling opportunities are less common.
Viewing content, Instagram, inviting people, sweepstakes, assignments, and viewable videos will be available in most countries. You can also find surveys and offers in most countries, although in some countries you may need a little patience.
Can I get support?
Yes, you can get support if you need it – TimeBucks has a support team, and if you need support, they respond pretty quickly.
Having tried the service personally, I know the support staff is friendly and good at answering your questions, which is important for any service or platform.

TimeBucks is definitely not a scam and is a legitimate GPT site with many income options.
However, in this review, we will summarize the pros and cons of TimeBucks to give you a better idea before you decide if TimeBucks is worth it.

Overall, I really like TimeBucks, and I think it’s definitely a legitimate site. I think it’s great that they offer interesting and varied opportunities in countries where it’s hard to get many opportunities on survey sites.
However, some of them give pretty low rewards. But many of them are things we spend a lot of time on online, and it’s great when you can get a small reward for it.
So whether you should join TimeBucks depends on your expectations and whether you find the TimeBucks opportunity interesting.
